Kevin Cyr is the Officer in Charge of the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team, one of North America's largest SWAT teams. He has been with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for 21 years with experience in patrol, major crimes, drugs, organized crime, and tactical operations. He has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's Degree in Criminal Law.
In his spare time he writes for various law and criminology journals and has been published internationally on topics of law and police culture. He lectures across Canada on topics of risk management and decision making in crisis situations.
