Sgt. Mike Goosby is a 31-year veteran of the LAPD, 23 of those years of experience have been earned as a K9 handler and trainer with the agency. Sgt. Goosby is formerly the department's Chief K9 Trainer for their Metropolitan Division K9 Platoon. He is a nationally recognized expert in K9 operations, which is accompanied by an extremely impressive resume and background.
In 2021 Mike decided it was time to relinquish his duties and retire from Law enforcement. He moved in to the private sector, as a security consultant. He still holds a reserve position with LAPD, and continues to assist the agencies K9 Unit as a trainer and evaluator.
