During his tenure, he was a full-time SWAT operator for 17 years, and he has worked in Patrol, Special Problems Unit, Gangs and Training Division. George was instrumental in developing the Defensive Tactics Cadre for his SWAT team, and he created the Peak Performance and Recovery Training program for his Department. He also received his Department’s Medal of Valor. In addition, George has been a student of the martial arts for over 35 years and is a Martial Arts Masters Hall of Fame inductee.

Combining his experiences as a police officer and as a martial artist, George created a self-defense system that is unique to law enforcement and specialized tactical units. He has been teaching his self-protection concepts to law enforcement and tactical operators for over 20 years and is the current Defensive Tactics Chairperson for the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA).

George is also the founder and creator of a fitness program that he has taught to hundreds of law enforcement officers and civilians. This trainer course was formerly known as CrossFit Striking, and it was developed out of George’s first-hand experience that proper striking training is also an excellent modality for developing elite fitness. George has enjoyed sharing his striking and fitness concepts with athletes from around the world.
