The Honorable Rob Wilkins is a retired US Air Force Master Sergeant, a fitness expert, and a former member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition (PCSFN) appointed under President Trump and President Biden. He currently works as the Military Evangelist at Sightline Media Group, a leading news organization in the military/defense sector.
Wilkins is a passionate advocate for military veterans and a lifetime member of several veterans associations. He serves on military focused boards such as the American Veterans Center, Transcend Foundation and Blue Star Families Campaign for Inclusion Committee. He is also the President of Rolling Thunder Washington, DC and on the Board of Trustees for National History Day, a global history competition for students.
Fitness has been a vital part of Wilkins’ life. He has served as an Air Force unit fitness advisor and created fitness/exercise programs for unit personnel. He was awarded an Air Force Commendation Medal for setting up unit health screenings that detected diabetes in three military personnel. For 20+ years, served as the Military Liaison to the IFBB and a special assistant to Joe & Ben Weider, the founders of the fitness movement.
Wilkins is a fitness expert who has contributed to various publications and books on weight training, such as Muscle and Fitness, FLEX, Lifestyles Changes and Get Buffed IV. He also co-created Fit to Serve, the largest column in the world highlighting the stories of military personnel and first responders who use physical activity to accomplish their mission.
He is a founding member of the American Legion Wellness Panel and on the board of directors for the Sports & Service. He supports the Special Olympics, TAPS and inclusive sports in his spare time.
