Episode 55 - Amanda Marsh

Amanda marsh is the widow of Granite Hotshots Supervisor Eric Marsh. Amanda talks about her life with Eric, his passion as a wildland firefighter, giving second chances, dealing with grief and much more.

Amanda Marsh is the widow of Eric Marsh. Eric was the superintendent of the Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew.  He was one of 19 firefighters killed in the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30th, 2013. Amanda created the Eric Marsh Foundation fof Wildland Firefighters to raise money for next of kin of wildland firefighters killed in the line of duty.  She has become a passionate advocate for firefighters who struggle with PTSD because she has been diagnosed twice with PTSD.   


Amanda spends time volunteering for the Eric Marsh Foundation.  She is an avid horse woman who rescues slaughterbound horses.  She has a lovely family with whom she spends much of her time.
