·I’m currently a Deputy Fire Chief with 35 years of experience serving the Greater Renton Community with emergency care. I specialize in supporting our Emergency Medical Service (EMS), Community Health Support, and Organizational Safety and Wellness for the Renton Regional Fire Authority. I have a MA in Organizational Leadership and a BS in Fire Science and support being a life-time learner.
I’m passionate about whole person medical care for our community members, and I inspire for our workforce to continually represent our diverse community through emergency care. I’m also focused on Firefighter Peer Support and well-being for our members on and off-duty, and advocate for resiliency with PSTD/PTSI, compassion fatigue, burnout, and suicide.
I’m a member of numerous committees in King County with EMS (Region 3 Trauma Council, Zone 3 Integrated Health Lead, KC Wellness Committee, Zone 3 Ops Chiefs and EMS Advisory Committee, KC Mobile Integrated Health and BLS working groups). I was born in 1966 and raised in Renton and live in the Issaquah area
