Episode 384 - Curtis Anderson
Hello everyone I'm an Extremely Severe Traumatic Brain Injury Survivor. On June 27/02 at the Ponoka Stampede. I lost my balance and my head smashed the bull's head twice. I spent a week short of a year in therapy. Learning how to walk, talk, regain the use of my left arm and basic life skills. Two weeks before my accident. I had a severe concussion. I'm living proof of what can happen if you go back too soon without letting your Brain heal from the first concussion.
In 2004 I started the Courage Canada Trail Ride to support Brain Injury Awareness. To put Brain Injury on the map and give survivors a chance. To ride in a wagon and be around horses. The Courage Canada Trail Ride supports 4 Brain Injury Centres. My passion is to share my story, raise awareness, teach prevention, help others. With my speaking I'm able to give the crowd knowledge. Of what challenges, victories, happiness. That I have experienced on my journey of 18 years.
